Ggiata Delicatessen is a New Jersey style Italian deli serving big, delicious sandwiches, on the freshest breads, salads, and house-made desserts. We have five location in the LA area with more to come.  All of our food is fresh, our sauces, spreads and salad dressings made in house, as are our biscuits, cakes, and  cookies . The Kitchen Manager produces safe, high-quality food and ensures excellent presentation. Maintains a spotlessly clean and high-functioning kitchen, storage, and prep areas, trains their team, and meets or exceeds food cost and kitchen labor goals.

Requirements :

  • Mobility and manual dexterity : ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb stairs, perform extensive walking and up to 10 hours a day or more standing and / or performing other physical tasks as needed; ability to bend, climb stairs, lift 40lbs and carry 10 feet;
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours a week or more as needed;
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, conflict resolution issues and be an excellent listener;
  • Ability to complete prep lists, inventory forms, order sheets, and time / temperature logs;
  • Understanding of basic electronic device programs, mobile phones, computers, POS systems, spreadsheets, and contemporary software apps.
  • Ability to communicate openly and candidly daily and partner with the General Manager, Supervisors, and senior leadership to seek and execute solutions to issues
  • An Automated Decision System (ADS) is employed in the assessment of applicants for the positions being recruited for in order to gauge the following pertinent qualifications or traits :

  • The candidate’s ability to perform the tasks in the available job role.
  • The candidate's self-rated skill proficiency.
  • The candidate’s fit for this job posting.
