Position : Industrial Millwright

Location : Harrisonburg, Virginia

Pay Rate : $28 to $30 dollars per hour (based on experience)

Hours : 40–55 hours per week, with some overtime available

Per Diem : Contingent upon meeting company requirements

Reports To : Maintenance Supervisor / Plant Manager

Job Summary :

The Industrial Millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems.

This includes performing bolt-up assemblies, ensuring proper alignment, and supporting start-up and commissioning of new equipment.

The role ensures safe and efficient operation of production equipment, supports continuous manufacturing processes, and minimizes downtime.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform bolt-up assemblies, alignment, and calibration of new machinery and equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair production machinery, conveyors, presses, mixers, and other mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair parts and components as needed using hand and power tools, welding, and machining equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders and inspection logs.
• Collaborate with electricians, automation technicians, and engineers to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely.
• Follow all safety protocols, including lockout / tagout procedures and PPE requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process upgrades.
• Support start-up and commissioning of new equipment to ensure proper operation and alignment with standards.
