Join Leidos' dynamic Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) operation as a Senior Systems Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our enterprise networking products focused on Ports and Borders. As part of our innovative team, you will enhance interconnectivity and drive customer productivity by developing cutting-edge software solutions that integrate sensors, data sources, and advanced technologies.
In this role, you will lead the creation of a robust customer-side software platform tailored to enable data warehousing, AI-driven applications, and implement top-tier cybersecurity practices. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding requirements, conducting thorough trade studies, and spearheading technical development and testing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Gather and analyze technical requirements, and oversee system hardware-software-network design, development, integration, verification, and validation.
- Evaluate alternatives, including cost and risk analyses, to ensure comprehensive support for total systems solutions.
- Conduct systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline tracking, trade studies, and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement the technical strategy for the Ports and Borders enterprise networking solution while coordinating diverse teams to maximize value delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate both internal and external sensors into the enterprise solution.
- Engage with customers to uncover their future needs, ensuring our technical strategy aligns with their expectations.
- Drive the development of innovative solutions tailored to upcoming customer demands while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Research and analyze leading-edge technologies to assess their relevance and potential impact on our current and future programs.
- Mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the organization.
Primary Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, etc.) or Computer Science, with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills alongside exceptional technical troubleshooting capabilities.Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex ideas, both verbally and in writing.Proven experience in developing and delivering large-scale technology solutions.Familiarity with software lifecycle development methodologies.Track record of managing solutions within cost and schedule constraints.Extensive knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, and compliance standards.Expertise in software testing and testing architecture, including understanding of testing cycles and requirements management.Skilled in software development life cycle models, particularly agile and DevOps methodologies.Experience in troubleshooting complex software systems and collaborating with diverse teams.Proven ability to multitask and self-prioritize in dynamic environments.Willingness to travel as necessary.Additional Qualifications :
