NASS Program Job Description
The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a new team member who is passionate about American agriculture to join its National Agriculture Statistics Survey (NASS) cooperative agreement team. This position will work closely with the Senior Director, NASS Program providing administrative support and project management coordination

ABOUT THE POSITION
The position r eport s to the Senior Director working with other NASDA team members in the NASS Program and NASDA's Human Resources and Administration areas .
NASDA is recruiting either a Program Coordinator or Program Manager for this position that will be determined based on the selected candidate's background and demonstrated expertise .
- Coordinator level : Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Manager level : Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
T he essential f unctions of the position include but are not limited to :
Administrative ( 3 0%)
Support the Senior Director in managing correspondence, scheduling and meeting preparation .Manage financial data entry and reporting for NASS program .Maintain documents and files within NASS program .Other duties as assignedProject Management ( 6 0%)
Human ResourcesCollect and maintain information on recruitment pipelines such as from universities with agricultural programs and job placement programs .Manage internal HR systems for NASS program including garnishment s, workers compensation reporting and state & federal employee reporting .OperationsAssist in implementing and managing new cloud-based platforms for shipping and financial operations.NASS Data CollectionParticipate in and support data collection efforts within the NASS programCommunicationsCoordinate with internal teams on communications projects focused on NASS programs.General Duties ( 1 0%)
Provide feedback to the Associate Directors and Senior Director for increased effi ciency with systems used in data collection and human resourcesPerform other duties covered by NASDA-NASS Cooperative AgreementQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualification s
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant, full- time work experience4+ years of human resources experience ( payroll processing, employee support, recruiting and development )4 + years managing agricultural operations or projects with demonstrated expertise in agriculture, data collection or related government programs.Adept working with Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar applications), cloud-based accounting and / or human resource systems and remote work technology (Zoom, Teams) .Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment .Ability to travel nationally several times per year .Able to pass a federal background check .Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of human resources experience including payroll processing, onboarding / offboarding, and / or HRIS reporting .5+ years supporting projects on a team focused on budgeting, communication and workflow.Knowledge of agricultural practices and USDA or NASS surveys is desiredDemonstrated experience supporting projects related to agricultureConsideration will be given to candidates who explicitly address how their professional experience meets the above qualifications in their cover letter and resume. Coordinator - $55,000 - $65,000; Manager $65,000 - $85,000
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time (40 hrs / week), exempt remote position. Working hours are generally Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm local time.
