Qualifications :

  • Must be able to independently inspect parts and notify production of quality issues.
  • Document inspection results and retain parts as required.
  • Properly use micrometers, scales, office programs, etc. to take and record quality tests.
  • Previous Quality role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Position Summary : To ensure produced parts are compliant with food safety and customer expectations, packaged appropriately, and all necessary documentation is completed accurately.

    Position Responsibilities :

  • Maintains clean, safe, and organized workstations.
  • Ensure proper PPE is used effectively.
  • Understand and train others in customer quality and food safety requirements.
  • Review 1st article parts, ensure packers are inspecting parts properly, and pull / review required parts during shift.
  • Perform and document laboratory tests on parts.
  • Ensures that parts are run in accordance with customer standards.
  • Responsible for the quality of parts and packaging, communication of deficiencies with required parties.
  • Trains employees on proper part inspection.
  • Review of accuracy and submission of quality documentation such as part inspection records, hold records, and training records.
  • Employee may be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT : Work performed in a manufacturing environment. Work may require working at different workstations as production needs require.

    Reporting to this position : Line Production Personnel; including temporary employees.
