Overview
We are seeking aPublic Safety Officer,sometimes referred to as aHospital Security OfficerorHealthcare Security Officer. ThePublicSafetyOfficerwill perform a range of security duties including electronic surveillance and routine manual patrols to ensure the safety of the facility.The Public Safety Officer will coordinate responses to incidents involving patients, staff, and visitors while enforcing policies and procedures fairly and consistently.The Public Safety Officer will collaborate with the Environment of Care Committee to support a multidisciplinary approach to safety and securityat our hospital.This position is on a per diem basis, meaningPD/PRN as needed.
Shift’s Available: Weekends
Employment Type:Per Diem
Hours: 12 hour shifts - 11:30pm to 12:00pm
Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

Qualifications

1. Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred
2. State Guard Certification Registration Card
3. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):
1. State Driver’s license upon hire
2. Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report
