Position Information Position Title Job and Internship Developer (Temporary Full-Time Professional Expert) Recruitment Start Date 12 / 17 / 2025 Recruitment End Date Open Until Filled Yes First Consideration Date Salary Range Pay Rate $35.00 per hour FLSA Status Non-Exempt Benefits Benefits This is a full-time, temporary professional expert position (40 hours per week; $35 per hour) through June 30, 2027. The position may be subject to continuation based on available funds and department needs. Excellent benefits include health care, dental program, and vision services.

At the beginning of each academic year, all professional expert, short-term, substitute, and student employees with an assignment which will exceed 30 days will be provided with five days (40 hours) of paid sick leave. This paid sick leave is available to be used for an illness of the professional expert, short-term, substitute, and student employee or his / her family member and / or for leave due to domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking. A professional expert, short-term, substitute, and student employee shall be entitle to use such sick leave as of the 90th day of employment. The five days (40 hours) of paid sick leave do not accumulate. General Description / Summary General Description / Summary

The Job and Internship Developer will be dedicated to initiating and developing relationships with employers, business organizations, public agencies, community-based organizations as well as Citrus College faculty and staff to identify employment, internship, apprenticeship, and volunteer opportunities for current Citrus College students. This position will assist with the coordination of career events and creating marketing and promotional materials to inform students and other stakeholders of available services and opportunities.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with one to three years’ experience in job development, workforce development, vocational education, employment / personnel services, or closely related field.
  • Experience working in a college environment utilizing job and internships platforms, including, but not limited to Handshake.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive practices to support a diverse student population.

  • Initiates and develops collaborative relationships with local employers, business organizations, public agencies, and community-based organizations to identify and develop employment, internship, apprenticeship, and volunteer opportunities for currently enrolled students.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify industry specific needs and opportunities for students.
  • Creates and enhances a current database of available jobs, internships, apprenticeship, and volunteer opportunities for currently enrolled students.
  • Establishes contact with employers to ensure they are knowledgeable about Citrus College programs and services.
  • Develops criteria for reviewing and screening job and internship opportunities to ensure their legitimacy and credibility.
  • Collaborates and refers students to career counseling faculty to support them throughout the job search and interview process.
  • Assists with the coordination of job fairs and related events in a variety of modalities.
  • Assists with the coordination of scheduling and participating in a variety of outreach and recruitment activities.
  • Assists with developing marketing and promotional materials to inform students and other stakeholders of available services and opportunities.
  • Utilizes job / internship platforms and technologies to perform duties in an efficient, organized, and timely manner.
  • Participates in regional and advisory meetings to stay abreast of industry trends, network with professional / community organizations, and develop partnerships.
  • Gathers and maintains data to evaluate effectiveness of services, identify goals to meet student and program needs, and prepare reports in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

  • Requires well-developed written and oral communication skills to maintain professional partnerships with district partners and employers.
  • Requires working knowledge of developing, collecting, and maintaining student and program data.
  • Requires a working knowledge of computer databases and tracking system software.
  • Requires well-developed language and writing skills to prepare professional materials and edit text to be suitable for communications.
  • Physical Abilities Physical Abilities

  • Requires ambulatory ability to sit for extended periods of time and stand and walk for intermittent periods of time.
  • Requires the ability to lift and carry lightweight materials (under 20 pounds) on an occasional basis.
  • Requires hand-arm-eye coordination to operate a personal computer keyboard.
  • Requires visual acuity to arrange materials, observe movements of people, and read letters and numbers.
  • Requires auditory ability to carry on conversations in person and over the phone and to conduct public speaking to large audiences.
  • Working Condition Working Conditions Work is performed primarily indoors where minimal safety considerations exist. Position may occasionally require a number of hours out-of-doors, sitting or standing and interacting with prospective students, parents, and community members.
