Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with current ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy certifications to join a cardiac cath lab team for a 16-week acute care contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Acute care hospital setting in a dedicated cardiac cath lab
  • Five suites : two for coronary cases, one for peripheral cases, one for vascular and neuro cases, and one for EP cases
  • Daily case volume ranges from 10 to 22 cases
  • Day shifts with 10 or 12 hour options, with every other weekend and first to float expectations
  • Rotating weeknight call approximately once per week and weekend call one weekend per month
  • Utilizes Cerner EMR
  • Procedures include cardiac / coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro interventions
  • Team composed of 2 techs per case, RN for conscious sedation, and lead tech oversees assignments
  • Not open to first time travelers
  • Lead tech assigns daily room assignments and provides team support
  • Rad badge provided for traveler
  • Must be comfortable working in a STEMI receiving facility
  • Dress code and scrub requirements to be provided at orientation
  • Holiday and schedule coverage expectations may vary by unit needs

  • Minimum 2 years recent cath lab experience required
  • Active ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy certifications required
  • Active state or compact (NLC) license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
  • Must have experience with procedural processes, moderate sedation, airway management, cardiac drips, and balloon pumps
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
  • Copy of driver’s license required
  • Two professional references : one supervisor from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
