Staff Cybersecurity Engineer

What you'll be doing :

• Define, lead, and own the security architecture for the autonomous driving platform, including the perception stack, sensor fusion, localization, and path planning systems.
• Architect robust security controls for safety-critical components, such as high-performance compute, sensor arrays, and fail-operational systems.
• Lead comprehensive threat modeling (STRIDE, TARA) on autonomous driving systems, addressing complex attack vectors like GPS spoofing, sensor blinding, and adversarial machine learning.
• Design and own the secure architecture for vehicle-to-cloud communication, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and high-volume data telemetry using AWS services.
• Provide technical oversight and direction for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), defining monitoring requirements and validating service effectiveness.
• Develop and enforce security requirements based on industry standards (ISO / SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29 R155) for engineering teams.
• Serve as the lead technical authority on security for AI / ML, robotics, hardware, and systems engineering teams.

This role is hybrid from our Boston, Pittsburgh, or Las Vegas office. It requires two in-office days each week, ideally Tuesday and Thursday.

$170,000-$232,000 USD
