Warehouse Worker
This role involves unloading trucks by hand, organizing and palletizing individual boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, and supporting general warehouse operations in a clean, climate-controlled facility. As you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to train on and become certified to operate electric sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks, contributing to efficient distribution of animal health and pharmaceutical products.
Responsibilities
- Unload trucks by hand and safely handle individual boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Palletize individual boxes and organize products into appropriate pallets according to established procedures.
- Sort and stage incoming products in designated warehouse areas to support efficient workflow.
- Assist with warehouse picking and packing activities to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Support loading and unloading activities to ensure timely movement of products.
- Use RF scanners and other basic warehouse tools to help track inventory and shipments, once trained.
- Follow instructions and training to learn forklift operations later in the assignment, including electric sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks.
- Maintain accurate organization of inventory and packaging materials within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures while handling products and equipment.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and complete assigned tasks so that workload is not shifted to other team members.
- Collaborate closely with a small warehouse team to complete daily operational goals.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled, clean warehouse in the Midwest that distributes animal health and pharmaceutical products such as enzyme-coated rawhides and dental care items for dogs. The warehouse team consists of about six people who work closely together in a collaborative setting. You will perform manual material handling, including lifting boxes up to 50 lbs, palletizing, and organizing inventory. Over time, you may use technologies such as RF scanners and operate electric sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks once trained and certified. The environment emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork, with consistent attendance being essential to ensure the workload is shared fairly across the team.

This is a Contract position based out of KANSAS CITY, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
