Job Summary
Baker Distributing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration and effective operation of our suite of security tools, including Proofpoint, Abnormal, Umbrella, and Sentinel One. The role involves collaborating closely with our Security Operations Center (SOC) and contributing to the development and delivery of user security training programs to ensure a robust security posture across the organization and in partnership with our parent company.
What You Will Bring
- Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with security tools such as Proofpoint, Abnormal, Umbrella, and Sentinel One.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, incident management, and response protocols.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
Essential Duties/Accountabilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain cybersecurity tools such as Proofpoint, Abnormal, Umbrella, and Sentinel One to protect the organization from cyber threats.
- Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to potential security incidents in coordination with the SOC.
- Develop and refine security policies and procedures to ensure that they align with best practices and organizational requirements.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance the company's security infrastructure and incident response capabilities.
- Provide expert guidance and support during the investigation and resolution of security breaches.
- Lead the development and delivery of security awareness training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
- Generate regular reports for IT management on the status of the cybersecurity environment.
