CORE HOURS 1st Shift 7 : 30 am – 4 : 00pm Monday – Friday

JOB SUMMARY :

Coordinates, provides oversight, and direction of the quality inspection activities. Collaborates with Quality Engineers on inspection and containment plans. Advises Quality Engineers and leadership of opportunities to elevate the performance of the team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Integral in developing and deploying inspection activities within Quality
• Works closely with other departments such as Materials to ensure containment activities are robust and discrepancies are resolved to reduce / prevent recurrences.
• Trains and further develop the Quality staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Ensures nonconformances and opportunities are properly documented and elevated when necessary for resolution.
• Identifies, tracks and reacts to metrics on the departments performance REQUIREMENTS
• Driver’s license required (travel between local manufacturing locations in Rockford)
• Previous mechanical inspection background with proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• GD&T interpretation and general print reading skills.
• Ability to create and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices examples :

Sampling plans and concepts (C=0)
