Title - CMA (RMA)

  • Must have certification

Pay range - $17 - $21 depending on experience

Locations - Greensboro, Burlington, Winston Salem, High Point

Fields of work - Pediatric, Adult, Internal Medicine, OBGYN, Allergy and Shot Clinic

Duties

  • Assist in patient intake by gathering medical histories and conducting preliminary assessments.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
  • Perform basic life support (BLS) when necessary and maintain certification.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards such as ICD coding.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a comfortable environment.
  • Support outpatient and inpatient care in various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, medical-surgical, emergency medicine, and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care plans effectively.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical area while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Experience in clinic settings or hospital environments preferred; familiarity with Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dermatology practices, urgent care protocols, and emergency medicine procedures.
  • Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures if applicable; OR experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence.
