Responsibilities Position is on the Cardiac Medical / Surgical unit in a hospital setting Night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Cares for cardiac med / surg patient population Uses EPIC for electronic medical records; experience required No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based nursing care Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team Executes patient care interventions and evaluates outcomes throughout the shift Documents patient care activities and progress in the EMR Delegates appropriately and serves as a resource for team members Must be able to prioritize workload and adapt to changing patient conditions RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Cannot return if assigned as a contingent worker for more than 1 year without a 6-month break No travel partners are permitted for this assignment Must be ready to complete required compliance, background, and drug screenings within specified timelines Requirements Active Illinois RN license or temporary license in good standing Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of three years relevant nursing experience preferred Minimum of one year med / surg nursing experience required Previous Level 1 Trauma experience required EPIC charting system experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628593.
