Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced board member to join our leadership team. This individual should possess a strong financial background to assist with business plan financial projections for our Rwanda project, as well as a solid understanding of HR, international law, and African diversity. The ideal candidate will help guide STAND International’s strategy while supporting the organization’s growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Expertise :
- Lead the development and review of financial projections for the Rwanda project.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Work with the board and leadership to oversee the organization’s financial health.
- HR and Legal Oversight :
- Provide expertise on international HR practices, particularly in line with global standards and African contexts.
- Advise on HR policies that promote diversity and cultural awareness.
- Ensure legal compliance with international laws and regulations relevant to nonprofit and project operations.
- Strategic Leadership :
- Contribute to overall board decisions regarding STAND International’s strategy, operations, and partnerships.
- Provide input on international partnership building, with a focus on sustainable development in Rwanda.
Qualifications
Proven financial expertise, preferably in business development, nonprofits, or startups.HR experience with a deep understanding of international law and human resources.International background with significant knowledge or experience working in Africa, particularly in Rwanda or surrounding regions.Strong understanding of African cultural diversity and a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in organizational practices.Previous board or leadership experience preferred.Personal Qualities
