Unit Highlights & Environment

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring women, postpartum patients, and neonates in accordance with established protocols and standards.Monitor fetal and maternal health, recognizing and responding to any signs of distress promptly.Administer medications, perform assessments, assist with pain management, and support labor progression.Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.Support new mothers with breastfeeding education and postpartum recovery.Document all patient interactions accurately and timely using Meditech.Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and their families.Comply with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.Participate in ongoing staff training, quality improvement initiatives, and unit audits.Qualifications & Skills
Required :
Valid Texas RN license.Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery and postpartum care.Strong knowledge of obstetric and neonatal nursing practices.Experience with fetal monitoring, labor support, and neonatal resuscitation.Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.Preferred :
Certifications such as ACLS, NRP, and STABLE.Experience with electronic health records (Meditech preferred).Knowledge of current obstetric care trends and evidence-based practices.Bilingual abilities are a plus.Shift Details
