Position Summary
The LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center, Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) Office is seeking a dynamic, collaborative and experienced public health professional to serve as the Community Engagement Coordinator. COE is dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer through prevention, screening, and survivorship programs and initiatives that are informed by research and developed through community engagement. This position is funded by the LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center.
Under the general supervision of the Community Outreach & Engagement Manager, this position will lead state-wide community outreach and engagement efforts for the COE office. Key duties include but are not limited to : developing state-wide engagement strategies; engaging multi-sector partners across the state to provide input on cancer-related programming; identifying community engagement opportunities and coordinating events; participating in community assessment activities; and maintaining a data system to track community engagement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Social Sciences or related and 2 years of professional level experience
Bachelor’s degree with 2 additional years of professional-level experience in a related field may substitute for the Masters
