Job Description:

  • This position is responsible for supervising and guiding production personnel to achieve on-time and quality manufacturing. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead production personnel by providing supervision and training, scheduling work, resolving problems, and providing direction, discipline and evaluations.
  • Identify staffing needs, interview, and recommend employee selection.
  • Work toward the achievement of department, site, and company goals in production, quality, and other standards.
  • Monitor and report daily production results, such as downtime, efficiencies, material shortage, and waste.
  • Interact with other internal functional departments, such as Quality and Engineering, to solve issues and improve productivity.
  • Ensure compliance to standards such as time and attendance, safety, SOP (standard operating procedures), and housekeeping practices.

    • Apply expertise in resolving problems associated with production and procedures.

  • Participate in productivity improvement projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills Demonstrated ability to lead, train, mediate, and motivate employees Strong analytical and problem solving skills Basic quality and manufacturing safety knowledge required Experience with Microsoft Excel, SAP, and Oracle required Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment Education and Experience: High School diploma required, Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred. 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role required. 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
