We're seeking a Director of Culinary Standards to work alongside our Senior Leadership! This position is based out of our home office in Mill Valley, CA but requires frequent travel (up to 40%) to our properties located throughout CA and in TX, UT, and WA. A fully open / flexible schedule is a must.

The Director of Culinary Standards is responsible for establishing, refining, and overseeing the culinary vision and execution across a portfolio of high-end, full-service restaurants. This role ensures exceptional quality, consistency, and innovation in every dish served, aligning operational execution with elevated guest expectations. This individual brings a deep understanding of fine dining, culinary artistry, and service excellence, and acts as a bridge between culinary creativity and operational consistency.

This role will work cross functionally with the restaurant and hotel operations, marketing, finance, and HR teams to translate their ideas into practical operational applications.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES :

  • Strongleadership,managerial,andorganizationalYouhaveexperiencedevelopingand managing culinary programs and non-culinary professionals to achieve results.
  • Extensive kitchen operations, business, and culinary knowledge.
  • Proven track record leading culinary / product development, menu development, and new operating models.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate those around you, across all levels of management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills - you can analyze, interpret, and take appropriate

  • A creative mind and seriously passionate about good food.
  • Expertise in consumer food trends and the ability to identify what matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 6+years of related work experience with at least three years in a multi-unit leadership position.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Driving / DMV record must meet minimum qualifications for coverage under property liability insurance policies.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Influence in the restaurant and hospitality industry and can leverage your network.
  • A high degree of credibility in the food industry and the ability to work with all levels of management and leadership.
  • Conversational Spanish is important.
