About the Role : We are seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong background in pharmaceutical software and GxP environments to support a growing team. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, articulating the value of complex software solutions to life sciences customers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing setting and understands the intersection of compliance, operations, and digital transformation in pharma.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary technical resource for prospective customers during the sales process
- Partner with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide tailored product demonstrations
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions
- Gather and relay customer feedback to internal product and engineering teams
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory trends (GxP, FDA guidelines, data integrity) and industry best practices
- Travel up to 75% domestically to client sites, trade shows, and industry events
Must-Have Qualifications :
Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., in GMP, software sales) are a plus.Minimum 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical software sales, technical sales, or pharmaceutical tech consultingDeep understanding of GxP compliance, data integrity, and validation requirements in regulated environmentsExperience working with enterprise pharmaceutical or biotech companiesStrong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse stakeholdersComfortable leading product demos, POCs, and technical discussionsAbility to work independently in a remote-first environmentWillingness and flexibility to travel extensively (East and West Coast focus)Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Consultant in life sciencesKnowledge of manufacturing or lab information systems (e.g., LIMS, MES, SCADA)Background in IT / OT integration or digital transformation in pharmaCompensation & Benefits :
