The Senior Director of Digital Optimization is a strategic leader with a primary focus on SEO excellence across MPS owned digital properties. This role is responsible for driving organic visibility, optimizing content for search engines, and ensuring that our websites deliver exceptional user experiences and measurable performance. The Director will lead SEO strategy and execution, while also overseeing and creating web content, user journeys, SEM, and performance analytics. The incumbent will collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Digital Marketing, AEM teams, and external agencies is essential to align digital initiatives with business goals and drive revenue growth. Develops and leads the marketing strategy for a specified area to deliver customer-centric, multi-channel marketing programs to maximize customer growth, retention and engagement. Identifies and communicates key performance indicators to ensure marketing strategies are yielding positive return on investment as well as to modify and optimize strategies as necessary. Manages professional employees and / or supervisors of complex support, production marketing team(s). Uses segment specific marketing strategies and media to launch marketing programs and / or products in collaboration with agencies, product, sales and technical teams. Successfully negotiates contracts and activates vendor relationships for the benefit of the Company and our brand. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address agility, resource and operational challenges. Provides marketing support for alternative marketing channels such as tradeshows, seminars, industry sponsorships, etc. Collaborates with internal partners to ensure that all marketing programs are in accordance with all laws, regulations and bank policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- SEO Strategy & Execution (Primary Focus) : Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, traffic, and engagement.
- Website Content : Lead the strategy and execution of content on Elavon owned websites ensuring alignment with brand messaging, product, and user experience best practices.
- User Journey Design : Develop and refine user flows and content hierarchies that guide users through intuitive and conversion-focused digital experiences.
- SEM Integration : Partner with paid media teams to align SEM campaigns with organic strategies for holistic search performance.
- Performance Analytics : Monitor and analyze site performance using tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and others. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to improve KPIs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Product Marketing, Product, Digital Marketing, AEM teams, and agencies to ensure cohesive digital strategies and execution.
- Platform Optimization : Ensure websites are optimized for speed, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and technical SEO.
- Testing & Experimentation : Lead A / B and multivariate testing strategies to validate SEO integrity and higher conversions.
- Digital Integration & Governance : Lead digital integration efforts for acquisitions, ensuring unified brand and content strategies. Maintain governance over digital standards, accessibility, and brand consistency.
- Content Strategy & Messaging : Translate complex product and industry concepts into clear, compelling messaging tailored to B2B audiences. Ensure content supports lead generation and brand awareness.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field or related work experience7+ years of experience in digital marketing, content strategy, SEO / SEM, and performance analytics.Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.Familiarity with accessibility standards and digital governance frameworks.Preferred Skills / Experience :
Strong understanding of B2B marketing and the payments industry (preferred).Advanced knowledge of assigned geographical area, competitive market, banking operations, and U.S. Bancorp's products and services.Strong organizational, interpersonal and team building skills.Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.Agility in thinking and delivery, along with proven ability to take direction in support of company goals.Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to delegate and successfully manage multiple projects and assignments that are completed on time and on budget.Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages.MBA or equivalent markers of high achievement are a plus.Benefits :
