About This Role

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking an experienced VP, Business Operations to partner directly with our CEO and executive team to drive clarity, speed, and accountability across our global, multi-P&L fintech organization. In this mission-critical role, you'll orchestrate cross-functional execution and enable the company to operate better every quarter. Your work will ensure that every department moves in lockstep with one plan, one cadence, and one source of truth.

Duties / Responsibilities

Operating rhythm : Stand up an integrated OKR / KPI system with WBR / MBR / QBR reviews; drive crisp commitments, fast decisions, and visible follow-through.

Single plan of record : Align roadmaps, budgets, and capacity in a company-wide portfolio; enforce prioritization and trade-offs tied to outcomes.

Internal AI strategy and enablement : Define Apex's internal AI vision, roadmap, and operating model; chair an AI council to prioritize high-ROI use cases across functions. Select and manage the AI / vendor stack (build / partner / buy), negotiate value, and ensure risk / compliance alignment. Upskill the company through training and change programs; publish adoption and impact metrics (time saved, quality, risk reduction, revenue lift).

Metrics and dashboards : Build a real-time, executive dashboard for revenue, cost, quality, customer health, risk, and people; raise data literacy and decision speed.

Planning and resource allocation : Run annual / quarterly planning, scenario modeling, and capacity planning; connect spend to outcome with clear owners and dates.

Process and tooling : Standardize cross-functional workflows (intake ? prioritization ? delivery ? ROI); implement scalable tools for portfolio / OKR / analytics with change management.

Strategic programs : Lead enterprise initiatives (M&A integration, new market entry, major tooling transformations) through a light, effective PMO.

Communication and alignment : Make the plan legible to all; publish goals, status, and decisions; remove roadblocks and resolve cross-team conflicts quickly.

Ways of working : Set meeting hygiene, RACI / decision rights, and leadership norms that create leverage and protect focus time.

Education and / or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other related field (or equivalent work experience) required; advanced degree preferred

12+ years of operating leadership experience in complex, global organizations ($500M+ preferred)ideally in software, fintech, or data businesses. Founder-led experience is a plus.

Demonstrated success in installing operating systems (OKRs / KPIs, business reviews, portfolio governance) that accelerate outcomes.

Experience working with regulated / enterprise or government customers is beneficial.

Required Skills / Abilities

Deep analytical expertise; fluent with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker), forecasting, and unit economics.

Expert cross-functional collaborator and change agentcan simplify complexity, negotiate trade-offs, and drive durable decisions.

Executive presence and crisp written / verbal communication; comfortable operating lean and hands-on.

Work Environment

This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.

Up to 25% travel.
