American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position with Epic charting and active Oregon RN license required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work on a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma CenterCare for patients on a surgical neuro trauma care unit with a wide variety of medical needsNurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 4-6Shift is 12-hour days from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30Assignment length is 13 weeks with options for 36 or 48 hours per weekMust work every other weekendFloating may be required within hospital and to an affiliate facility (West Valley Hospital)Unit uses Epic charting and Epic experience is requiredRoyal blue scrubs are requiredProvide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse surgical neurotrauma patient populationMust complete required modules pre-start and annually; modules are non-billable and up to 8 hoursCOVID vaccination required; exemptions not acceptedStrict RTO policy : all time off must be submitted at time of application and cannot be modified after submissionLocal candidates are accepted at the same rates as travelersFirst time travelers are not accepted for this positionFormer permanent employees must be separated for at least 6 months before being eligible to travelParking is free on site\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license required; pending is accepted at time of submissionBLS certification through the American Heart AssociationMinimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS / Tele / PCU; surgical neuro trauma stepdown and NIHSS certification preferredExperience managing telemetry, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and managing dysrhythmiasProficiency with O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions / PPEExperience with cardiac drips such as nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, and other IMCU gttsRapid response team activation experience requiredMust have documented Epic charting experience18 months of recent Med / Surg Tele experience strongly preferredMust have some type of Telemetry experience\n Benefits\n
