Senior Financial Accounting Analyst
This position plays a key role in communicating university policies and procedures to students, faculty, and staff. The Senior Financial Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing grant financial reports, preparing the budget and financial forecasts, preparation and reporting of form 1098-T, and managing student accounts and other receivables within the institution. This position supports the financial sustainability of the institution while maintaining a student-centered approach. The role also involves providing responsive and professional customer service to support the university community.

- Provide post-award grant administration and financial reporting.
- Prepare the annual budget and multi-year financial forecasts and financial analyses.
- Research and analyze student account discrepancies and respond to inquiries regarding student accounts in person, by phone, and through email.
- Explain student account issues clearly and accurately while applying departmental policies and procedures to resolve concerns.
- Assist with the generation, review, and distribution of tuition bills and account statements, student refund checks, and 1098-T forms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in student financial systems to monitor and manage past due accounts for tuition, fees, housing, and other student charges.
- Initiate contact with students and responsible parties to resolve outstanding balances.
- Manage payment plans (Transact / Cashnet) in accordance with university policies.
- Prepare monthly reports on aging accounts and collection performance.
- Ensure compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and other applicable regulations.
- Recommend accounts for write-off or referral to legal counsel when necessary.
- Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy.
- Communicate clearly with borrowers, team, and others using a courteous, pleasant tone in both written and verbal communications.
- Ensure a high level of service while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions.

Education & Experience Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting or business experience, with financial analysis, budget, accounts receivable, and student financial services preferred.Working knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis, budget preparation, and forecasting.Skilled in organizing work and setting priorities.Knowledge of higher education billing systems (e.g., Jenzabar) is a plus.Courteous, professional demeanor with strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
