Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team in our Coraopolis, PA location.

Position Details

This role reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and the Assistant Director of Finance. The position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, supplies, and equipment; maintaining accurate inventory and stock records; and assisting the Purchasing Agent with supply management, bids, and purchase records. The work requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying cartons up to 100 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials and supplies using appropriate tools.
• Verify accuracy of shipments by comparing physical items against invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.
• Report discrepancies or damages and sign off on invoices, packing lists, and delivery receipts.
• Properly store items according to established procedures, including refrigeration of perishable goods.
• Fulfill requisitions by retrieving and delivering items to requesting departments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and supply records.
• Assist the Purchasing Agent with bids, purchase documentation, and supply chain records.
• Transport supplies and equipment using hand trucks, carts, or vehicles as needed.
• Greet and escort service representatives to the appropriate department.
• Handle and track all stocked items within the warehouse.
• Perform additional warehouse-related tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of facility policies and procedures.
• Strong numerical ability to verify quantities and maintain accurate records.
• Versatility to perform a variety of duties in coordination with multiple departments.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and carry cartons and supplies up to 100 pounds.

COMPENSATION:

• Earn $14.85/hour
