Job Description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbia, South Carolina.

Job Details : \n

  • Provide nursing care in Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IICU) setting

    • \n

  • Maintain 1 : 3 patient ratio throughout all shifts

    • \n

  • Care for adult trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients requiring monitoring every 1-2 hours

    • \n

  • Work with patients including direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams

    • \n

  • Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period

    • \n

  • Must have at least 1 completed travel assignment and 2 years of RN experience

    • \n

  • Previous IICU / ICU experience with 1 : 3 acuity required

    • \n

  • First-time travelers accepted with 3 years critical care experience

    • \n

  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

    • \n

  • Must have active South Carolina or multistate license

    • \n

  • 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required

    • \n

  • Proficiency required in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management

    • \n

  • Must be skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

    • \n

  • Ventilator experience required

    • \n

  • Experience with special equipment including Hercules patient repositioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps

    • \n

  • Must be available to float to other units or campuses as needed based on census

    • \n

  • Pre-assignment testing and modules required within 48 hours of contract signing

    • \n

  • Orientation occurs every Monday

    • \n

  • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

    This regional community teaching medical center is designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, the only one of its kind in the Midlands region. The facility features 641 licensed beds and holds Magnet recognition for nursing excellence.
