Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance, and / or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and process specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired Skills

  • Technical writing experience
  • F‑35 maintenance experience
  • Familiarity / direct experience with SGML / xml authoring
  • Removal, installation, and inspection of aircraft components
  • F‑35 Engineering and Logistics systems experience (JDL – JSF Data Library, PDM – Product Data Manager, QAD – Quality Assurance Document, ATLAS – Advanced Technical Logistics Applications System, VAS – Visual Augmentation System, SFM – Shop Floor Manager)
  • Experience at military aircraft operational and flight test sites
  • Job Description

    You will be a Tech Data Author – Level 2. In this position, your primary role is as an anomaly and failure resolution system (AFRS) author on the F‑35 Joint‑Service Technical Data (JTD) team.

    What You Will Be Doing

    In this position, you will be responsible for writing, validating and maintaining organizational‑level maintenance technical and troubleshooting publications for F‑35 aircraft. You will be required to learn the authoring systems, utilize desktop publishing tools to create AFRS solution sets or update, and publish revised or changed material. You will convey your knowledge of aircraft systems into technical publications to support the F‑35 operational fleets. Reading and interpreting engineering documentation and effective interaction and communication with customers, vendors, engineering and other organizations to define and document aircraft maintenance requirements are daily requirements in this position.

    Work Schedule Information

    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Pay Rate

    The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $73,400 – $127,075. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
