This position is located at Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, ID. Please note that we currently do not offer work visas. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
Position Overview :
The Lead Financial Analyst plays a critical role within our resort finance team. This position is responsible for overseeing financial operations and assisting the VP of Finance with ongoing strategic needs. Key responsibilities include supporting the annual budget, forecasting, monthly financial close and reporting, as well as delivering ad-hoc analyses. We seek a motivated, self-directed individual who is comfortable engaging with team members at all levels in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct financial analyses for budget owners and senior management to enhance operational efficiency and profitability, supporting corporate initiatives and business development efforts. This includes :Preparation, review, and distribution of monthly consolidated reporting packages for resort leadership
Monitoring financial performance and key performance indicators, identifying trends, and suggesting areas for improvementAnalyzing variances from forecasted plans, reporting outcomes, and recommending solutionsLeading and participating in monthly financial review meetingsOversee the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with business leaders to create financial plans and monitor performance.Work closely with resort leaders on ongoing capital improvement projects to ensure precise planning and maximize returns.Build strong relationships with our finance and accounting shared services team :Ensure accurate financial reporting and empower business leaders to make informed decisions based on reliable data.
Assist in adjusting entries, reclassifications, and general accounting processes.Ensure precise tracking of capital improvement expenses.Perform ad-hoc financial modeling and respond to data requests as needed.Other Duties :

Required Skills :
Education : Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting or financeExperience : Minimum of 5 years in a similar financial roleTechnical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel; familiarity with accounting software is preferred.
