We are looking to add a Land Surveying Crew Chief to our dynamic team. AWPM is based in Downtown Memphis, TN, with offices in Houston, TX and Birmingham, AL. This position is full-time onsite in Memphis, TN at the various project locations.

Position Summary :

The Land Surveying Crew Chief (Senior Field Technician) briefs and debriefs field crews, process field notes and data, retrace or survey property boundaries, write reports, and draft maps. This position ensures accuracy of information collected and reported and makes critical judgement calls while in the field to provide quality field data collection within the scope of the project. The Senior Field Technician will serve as a Lead Field Technician for a small crew performing duties throughout the City and County. The Senior Field Technician makes critical judgement calls while in the field to provide quality field data collection within the scope of the project. This position is full-time onsite in Memphis, TN at various project sites.

Essential functions :

Qualifications :

Strong working knowledgeable in all aspects of land surveying including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA / NSPS Land Title Surveys, route surveys, as-built surveys, construction staking, etc. with the ability to read and interpret various types of construction and property documents.

Ability to directly lead others while engaged in field surveying work.
