Overview of the Cost Accountant role :

The Cost Accountant will monitor, analyze, and report on production, operational, and overhead costs.

Assist in financial planning by preparing cost forecasts and budget reports.

Ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Identify and investigate cost discrepancies, providing recommendations for improvement.

Develop strategies to optimize expenses and improve financial efficiency.

Evaluate costs and profitability of products, projects, and business units.

Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.

Work closely with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to optimize cost structures.

Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar

3+ years cost accounting experience

Strong technical accounting skills
