Job Description :
This is an Onsite Role in Portland Oregon
- Design & Architecture : Design and implement high-quality, scalable RESTful, GraphQL, or event-driven APIs, ensuring adherence to modern design principles and best practices.
- Platform Management : Manage and configure API gateways and management platforms (e.G., Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management) in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Security & Governance : Implement robust security measures including authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys), authorization, and encryption, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.G., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Development & Operations : Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Product Managers) to facilitate API deployment pipelines, continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) workflows, and automated testing.
- Monitoring & Optimization : Monitor API performance, availability, and usage using analytics and logging tools (e.G., Prometheus, Splunk, ELK stack). Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance for scalability and reliability.
- Documentation & Support : Write clear, comprehensive API documentation using tools like Swagger / OpenAPI specifications and manage developer portals to ensure ease of use for internal and external developers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience in developing and managing APIs.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.Js, or C#.Strong understanding of API protocols and data formats (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).Hands-on experience with API gateways and management platforms (Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, etc.).Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys).Knowledge of API documentation standards and tools (Swagger, OpenAPI).EEO Employer
