The Assistant Manager is responsible to work closely with the Club Manager to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience.

The Assistant Manager must be able to obtain and maintain CPR / AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR / AED in the event of a medical emergency. They must also obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.

Essential duties include :

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including answering phones, checking members into the club, new member sign-up, taking prospective members on tours, and facilitating all member requests, issues.
• Assist in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of facility.
• Assist in ordering of supplies using specific budget based on club requirements.
• Assist in tracking statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually).
• Backup support for any employee who is absent.

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk and stand, for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; occasionally to lift, carry, push, and / or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 50lbs); to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate in person or on the phone to exchange information. Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of medical emergency. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
