The Estimator or Jr. Estimator, will essentially be responsible for but not limited to the following :
- Works closely with the Senior Estimator to assist in day-to-day tasks.
- Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
- Analyze requirement documents, blueprints as well as project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
- Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
- Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.
- Create labor estimates for any project.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors.
- Managing bids from vendors and contractors.
- Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis.
- Ability to present prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders.
- Compiling and recording actual costs.
- Writes up and presents budgets, reports and project plans.
- Create Microsoft Project Schedules.
- Update Bid Calendar.
Qualifications :
Construction Estimating experience.Project Coordination.Experience with Project Planning.Must be adept in working with Power Point.Experience with Microsoft Projects.Minimum 1-2 years estimating experience in the construction industry in NYC, New Jersey, or ConnecticutMust be highly detail oriented.Ability to work quickly and efficiently.Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.Knowledge of cost estimating software.Ability to read and understand plans / blueprints.Desired Skills and Experience
