Position Summary :

The Clinician (Clinical Therapist) provides In-Home Therapy services to families throughout the Greater Boston area and surrounding communities, in alignment with the In-Home Therapy Performance Specifications. When appropriate, the clinician assumes Hub responsibilities, ensuring Therapeutic Mentors are properly connected to their assigned cases. They also actively train and supervise Family Service Providers within their site and across the agency. Additionally, clinicians collaborate closely with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), delivering essential services focused on family stabilization and reunification.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Use established psycho-therapeutic techniques / interventions to help improve the youth's social, emotional, and behavioral functioning, prevent inpatient admission, and strengthen caregiver(s) parenting skills.
  • Conduct all necessary assessments in a thorough and timely manner, obtain approval before filing, and provide all needed updates.
  • Develop a treatment plan in collaboration with the family and collaterals that prioritizes needs and sets related goals as indicated by the assessment; revise and update the plan as the intervention proceeds.
  • Develop and support an adequate risk assessment and safety plan with the youth and family.
  • Collaborate with the therapeutic mentor to implement the treatment plan and assist the youth and family in achieving the plans goals.
  • Plan and conduct meetings with the Therapeutic Mentor, family, and individual (as needed) to support goals with a clear purpose and maximum possible flexibility, including times / places for meetings.
  • Ensure specialist consultations, evaluations, and referrals are requested.
  • Develop initial and ongoing teamwork with family members, formal providers, natural supports, and others to support sustainable progress.
  • Organize, attend, and travel to meetings / appointments in various locations.
  • Maintain paper and electronic records in an orderly and timely manner.
  • Attend weekly supervision with the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Participate in all care planning meetings and processes if the youth is enrolled in Intensive Care Coordination.
  • Follow through with on-call policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training, including CANS certification.
  • Ensure that all services are provided professionally, ensuring privacy and safety.
  • Respond to client emergencies as needed
  • Maintain contact with the site by checking voicemail and texts
  • Keep Osiris supervisors informed of progress on all cases
  • Keep DCF collaboratives (social workers, supervisors, and leads) informed of improvement according to DCF guidelines.
  • Adhere to M.G.L Chapter 119, Section 51A (Mandated Reporter); report all occurrences immediately to the clinic.
  • Adhere to clinical recommendations from clinical administration
  • Maintain confidentiality in all clinical matters. Adhere to HIPAA standards and regulations.
  • Remain compliant with billing, documentation, and minimum service delivery to substantiate each billable unit.

  • Must possess knowledge of child development, including physical, mental, and emotional
  • Must have Clinical and Psychiatric knowledge; must have Cultural and Linguistic Competence
  • Must be computer literate; attention to detail and organizational skills are critical (Experience with Google Workspace is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills, willingness to work directly with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a related field required
  • Minimum of five years of clinical social work experience
  • CANS certification is required. It may be obtained through online training.
  • Experience utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Welligent preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of writing in the DAP (Data Assessment Plan) progress notes format
  • Flexible schedule
  • Valid Drivers License, safe driving record, and access to a personal vehicle for transportation to the client's residence
  • Being bilingual is a plus.
