Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Industrial Engineer of Supply Chain & Procurement - Buyer to work in our Canonsburg, PA, office. The hours are Monday to Frida,y 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. The Industrial Engineer of Supply Chain & Procurement - Buyer will report to the Procurement Manager, will perform the duties described in the job description below, and will be considered an Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement, specifically within the technical commodities industry of valves, pumps, vessels, and other water treatment equipment. This candidate will have savvy negotiation skills, be highly organized, a relationship builder, customer service driven, and a team player.

Job Description :

• PPromptly purchaseall commodities and technical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, controls, vessels, and piping) for the manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems
• Copies data and compiles records and reports.
• OOperatedcomputer terminal to input and retrieve data.
• Purchases supplies.
• Data entry of all purchase orders.
• Assisting other departments when it is required.
• Review requisitions.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.Receive andd contact vendors to find out the status of an order.
• Contact vendors with discrepancies in quantity and quality.
• I interfaced with all departments and resolved problems and issues with needed purchase items.
• Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Traveling when needed to meet project requirements.
