Clinical Analyst II
- This position reports to the Manager of Clinical Analyst and participates in technologically enabling the clinical and business units as part of the clinical information systems team.
- He/she manages implementation and utilization of clinical and business applications in the non-IT domain to include critical and non-critical areas of the organization.
- Responsible for enabling the clinical and business side of the organization with technology-oriented tools and know how to further advance their performance, quality of care and efficiency.
- He/she also serves as the liaison between the clinical and business departments and IT, as well as connecting these departments to various UHS services as necessary.
- He/she performs liaison duties associated with the implementation, support, and maintenance for all aspects of the clinical information systems. This position provides problem tracking, resolution, on-going enhancement requests, active participation in systems testing, workflow redesign, change management, and continual education to facility employees and physicians.
- Additionally, this position has a dotted line reporting to the Director of Data Management in all matters related to the data processing, report generation and management, data analysis, data cleansing, data enrichment, and business intelligence.
- In such capacity, performs data analysis and works with the Data Management team in collecting, analyzing, and converting data into meaningful reports and insights.

Qualifications Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer/Information Science or Healthcare with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a healthcare, clinical, or health IT setting OR Master s degree in health information technology field with 3 years of experience.
- Professional clinical degree
- Implementation experience with hospital clinical applications.
- Previous experience in nursing or clinical informatics preferred, to include Siemens, Opus, or other clinical systems.
- Certification in data management, data analysis, data presentation, BI, ETL, etc., is highly preferred.
Skills
- Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner preferred).
- Ability to work with end users to determined software specifications, hardware requirements and process improvement workflows.
- Demonstration of strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a department or interdepartmentally.
- Comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications required
- Exhibits or has performed in a leadership role.
