ER RN Travel Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : July 28, 2025

End Date : October 27, 2025

Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (ED)

Shift : 12-hour nights (3 shifts per week)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,050 - $2,200

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state (NY nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required

BLS certification required

ACLS and PALS certifications preferred

Strong clinical communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care and support to patients and families in the Emergency Department

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for emergency patients

Collect and assess patient data, monitor patient status, and document clinical care accurately

Collaborate with physicians, case managers, social workers, crisis evaluators, and the healthcare team

Coordinate patient movement and staff assignments, including charge nurse duties as needed

Respond to emergencies and provide high-quality care for a diverse patient population

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients, including those with mental health needs
