The Assistant Director of Evaluation and Analytics provides strategic and operational leadership for program evaluation and learner assessment across MEDEX Northwest, a multi-campus physician assistant program within the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) at the University of Washington School of Medicine. The position leads cross-campus data and evaluation initiatives that drive continuous program improvement, support student learning outcomes, and ensure compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards. The Assistant Director serves as a key member of the MEDEX leadership team and partners with faculty and staff to advance a culture of accountability and educational excellence. This position directly impacts the quality and accountability of MEDEX Northwest's educational programs, which enroll approximately 240 students annually across five campuses. The role is critical to maintaining ARC-PA accreditation and ensuring the program meets its mission of preparing competent physician assistants to serve diverse communities.
The Assistant Director serves as a key member of the MEDEX leadership team, chairs the MEDEX Evaluation Committee, and partners with faculty and staff across all MEDEX campuses to advance a culture of continuous improvement and educational excellence. The role ensures that evaluation and assessment practices drive data-informed program decisions, support student learning outcomes, and maintain compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards. The Assistant Director collaborates closely with program leadership, faculty, and staff; leads cross-campus data and evaluation initiatives; and contributes to educational scholarship and faculty development efforts.
This position reports to the Program Administrator of the MEDEX Program and works in close partnership with the MEDEX Program Director and Executive Leadership. The Assistant Director serves as Chair of the MEDEX Evaluation Committee and provides leadership to faculty, staff, and campus representatives involved in evaluation and assessment activities across all MEDEX campuses.

Minimum Requirements
Master's degree (PhD, EdD, DrPH, or equivalent preferred) in education, evaluation, public health, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in program evaluation, educational assessment, academic research, and data analysis in an academic or health professions education setting. Equivalent education / experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license / certification / registration.
Additional Requirements
Demonstrated expertise in program evaluation, educational assessment, and / or academic research. Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills. Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel). Experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, REDCap) and educational technologies (Canvas, ExamSoft, Exxat). Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage faculty, staff, and leadership in evaluation and assessment work. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive evaluation practices.
Desired Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DrPH) in education, public health, evaluation, or related field. Experience in academic or health professions education, particularly with multi-campus programs. Familiarity with ARC-PA and other health professions accreditation standards. Experience leading faculty development initiatives and supporting educational scholarship. Expertise in competency-based education, program evaluation frameworks, and continuous quality improvement. Experience managing complex data systems and driving data-driven program improvement.
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum : $83,268.00 annual Pay Range Maximum : $120,000.00 annual
