Warehouseman

A warehouseman is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse location(s) and provide supervisory direction to personnel. Ensure all warehouse work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Communicate with multiple personnel regarding processes, demonstrate high knowledge of logistics and managerial skills, and ensure tasks are completed, including orders, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, distributing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight and support to the team on ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, distributing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts.

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.

Prior experience working for an oilfield supply house preferred.

Operate a forklift for loading and offloading trucks and moving cargo around the yard.

Maintain a clean warehouse and yard.

Maintain inventory control systems; high level of computer experience, SAP knowledge a plus.

Promote team building while maintaining a safe work environment.

Must be a team player and able to work effectively with others.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience required (O&G Industry preferred).

Previous inventory management experience required.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision.

Forklift Operator Certification preferred.

At least High School Grad or GED. Some college or technical training preferred.

Valid U.S. Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Candidate must live within a 50-mile radius of Odessa, TX.

Proficient in using MS Windows environment.

Strong initiative and self-starter.

Ability to keep neat and accurate records.

Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.

Ability to identify operational inefficiencies.

Understanding of business fundamentals.

Ability to implement cost-effective solutions.

Technical skills related to math and analytical thinking.

Understanding of the importance of environmental and safe work practices.
