A US-based social commerce marketplace with over 90 million users and 200 million+ listings is expanding its AI / ML organisation to deliver a personalised, discovery-first shopping experience. Backed by a major global tech & commerce group, the company is doubling its AI / ML squads from 3 to 7 this year, creating high-impact roles in engineering and data science.

Role Summary

As a Data Scientist II , you will work within a cross-functional AI squad to design, develop, and deploy models for personalisation, recommender systems, GenAI-powered seller tools, and trust & safety. You’ll collaborate with MLEs, product managers, and analysts to ensure models are robust, scalable, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy ML models for personalisation, ranking, CV, and NLP
• Collaborate with MLEs and product teams on experimentation and optimisation
• Contribute to model monitoring and performance tracking
• Work under mentorship from senior DSs to expand technical depth
• Working Model : Hybrid – 3 days / week onsite (Bay Area, CA)
• Stack : Python, PyTorch, Spark, Databricks, GCP / AWS
