Location : Academy of Arts and Knowledge, Fort Collins, CO (On-Site)

Job Type : Full-Time, Exempt

Typical Schedule : Monday-Friday

Reports To : Executive Director and Board of Directors

Position Summary :

The Principal provides onsite leadership for AAK, ensuring the academic success, safety, and overall well-being of students and staff. This role is responsible for implementing curriculum, supervising instructional practices, managing operations and budgets, leading personnel development, and engaging with families and the broader community.

Core Responsibilities :

Serve as the educational leader and oversee school programs aligned with state standards and AAK's mission.

Manage instructional programs through classroom observations, evaluations, and teacher support.

Administer all aspects of school operations, including fiscal management, facilities maintenance, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Supervise and support the development of teachers and staff, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, evaluating, and coaching.

Foster a positive, inclusive school culture that builds strong relationships among students, families, staff, and community members.

Maintain accurate student and staff records and ensure confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Represent AAK in the community, promoting a positive image and encouraging parent and community engagement.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Education or related field preferred.

2-5 years of school administration experience (charter school experience preferred).

Experience in K-5 school instruction.

Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and Student Information Systems (SIS).

Compensation and Benefits :

Salary Range : $90,000 - $100,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications).
