Pay Range : $21.00 - $26.00 per hour + Prevailing Wage Jobs

Shift / Hours : Monday – Friday; Weekends as needed.

Position Purpose / Summary :

Under the general supervision of the Branch Supervisor, a Yard Technician is responsible for maintaining all fence, sanitation, and storage equipment in clean and proper working condition and ensuring that all equipment leaving the yard meets Knight’s Site Services quality standards. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work with others to ensure the yard flows smoothly. Assist in preparing material for jobs and / or events.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Inspect, wash, and perform minor repairs of equipment and other company assets.
• Conduct minor facility maintenance and minor repairs as required.
• Operate service truck, P&D truck, and fence truck and perform associated duties as assigned.
• Report all safety hazards and incidents to Branch Supervisor.
• Report any damage or problems found on equipment to Branch Supervisor.
• Safely load and unload equipment and materials onto vehicles.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of yard.
• Follow directives accurately and efficiently.
• All other duties as assigned.

Valid Non-Commercial California Class C Driver’s License and vehicle insurance at no less than California State minimum required limits of liability.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions (in some cases extreme heat / cold), moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. This position requires employees to travel regularly to off-site work locations and as such use of a vehicle will be provided.
