Summary

The Brand - Sr Brand Manager role sits in our Pet division, leveraging Perdue expertise in quality protein to offer nutritious, all natural foods and treats for all members of the family, including the furry ones. This position will own and shape brand positioning, clearly define and communicate value propositions, and spearhead innovation that drives the brand’s growth into new categories. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of creative, strategic thinking, leadership skills, resourcefulness and love for dogs to help catapult our growth in the Pet category! This position is hybrid with Mondays and Wednesdays in office in Santa Monica, CA.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal And Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Brand Stewardship :

  • Refine, communicate, and champion our brand positioning.
  • Develop and execute brand strategies to achieve business objectives, including market share growth, household penetration and consumer engagement.
  • Conduct market analysis, consumer insights research, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of annual brand plans, encompassing product launches, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.

Omnichannel Marketing Execution :

  • Collaborate internal counterparts and external agencies to ensure cohesive execution of brand initiatives.
  • Manage the development of marketing assets, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Build and maintain brand budget.

    • Innovation Pipeline and Go to Market Strategy :

  • Identify and leverage emerging trends ideal for growth and with fit to brand.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally from concept to launch with R&D, Sales, and Ops, while being consumer-led.
  • Develop unique GTM plans in partnership with retail launch partners.

    • Team Leadership and Management :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports, fostering a high-performing and positive work environment.

    • Minimum Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related.

    • Experience Requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience in Brand Marketing, Advertising or related consumer-facing field.
  • Experience managing external agency partners.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market data through Circana IRI / Nielsen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce, and omnichannel strategies is a plus.

    • Experience Preferred :

  • Consumer packaged product experience with emphasis in food or pet categories is preferred.

    • Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements :

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
