Description of Work
The
U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC)is a 34,000-acre facility near Clay Center, NE. The work performed at USMARC supports research that is focused on solving high priority problems for the U.S. beef cattle, sheep, and swine industries.
As a Construction Tech I, you will: - Assist Construction Supervisor with new construction, repair, and maintenance of existing facilities which includes remote buildings, livestock working facilities, livestock water systems and monitoring and maintaining of waste lift stations. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, concrete and welding.
Position requires irregular hours, work in inclement weather, and work in livestock facilities.
