Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Details:
- Location: Poughkeepsie, NY & Fishkill, NY
- Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
- Pay rate: $20 to 23/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience /educational qualifications)
- Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hrs. wk.)
- Mon & Thu - Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
- Tue, Wed & Fri - Fishkill, NY 12524
Job Responsibilities:
- Room patients and prepare exam rooms for provider evaluation.
- Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, height, and weight.
- Enter and manage clinical tasks within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Answer and triage incoming phone calls, routing messages appropriately to providers or clinical staff.
- Process incoming and outgoing faxes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution.
- Submit and process medication refill requests per provider protocols and office guidelines.
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments and procedures, verifying provider availability and patient preferences.
- Confirm upcoming appointments and provide patients with preparation instructions when applicable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- High School, GED, or equivalent.
- Current, Medical Assistant Certification.
