OVERVIEW :
SILTT is in search of an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to provide Owners Representative services for our customers, oversee and mentor Construction Manager Agents (CMas) in the field, and consult across a variety of projects on behalf of our organization. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in facility design, construction, and contracts management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. As a Project Manager you will be the workhorse of the project team by providing programmatic support to the Program Manager across multiple concurrent projects and simultaneously driving project implementation and results through CMas that report to you from the field where those projects are being executed. A DAY IN THE LIFE :
As a Project Manager you will generally be the primary dedicated day-to-day manager for all aspects of Owners Representative Services across facility design, construction, and management for multiple sites and be a trusted leader in supporting the growth, development, and consistency of our construction management team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Project Planning & Development :
Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverablesDevelop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with the Owners objectivesAssess project feasibility, risk factors, and potential impact on stakeholdersDevise and orchestrate an Owners Representative CMa Plan for each project to assure that stakeholders objectives are fulfilled by a project-dedicated SILTT Team from SILTT to SummitProject Execution & Monitoring :
Oversee the execution of design, pre-construction, construction, and operations and maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and regulationsMonitor project progress, including schedules, budgets, and quality standardsConduct regular site visits to gain first-hand insight into project progress, support direct SILTT reports (CMas), and conduct Key Leader Engagements (KLEs) with stakeholdersStakeholder Management :
In support of the Program Manager, serve as the alternate or, at times, primary point of contact between the Owner and all project stakeholders - especially the Construction Manager Agents that report to youFacilitate clear communication and collaboration among all parties involved in the projectAddress and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction processFinancial Management :
Oversee project financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, and forecastingReview and recommend Owner approval of invoices, change orders, and other financial documentsEnsure that the project is delivered within the agreed-upon budget and that all financial objectives are metRisk Management :
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the projects under your purviewProactively address any challenges that could affect the projects timeline, budget, or qualityProject Closeout :
Assist the CMa in overseeing project closeout, ensuring all contractual obligations are metReview final project documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation manualsEnsure a smooth handover of the project to the Owner, including the resolution of any outstanding issuesPersonnel Oversight :
Provide guidance and overall management support for CMas at field locationsMentor and coach direct reports in day-to-day activities and collaborate on professional development planningAssist in training activities for SILTTs Construction Management Agent Indoc CourseAdvocate for direct reports, arbitrate personnel conflict, and provide disciplinary action when requiredEnsure all direct reports are in good standing, are properly trained, up-to-date on necessary immunizations and have necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and complete administrative functions in a timely mannerForecast hiring requirements, work with Talent Management to develop job requisitions, conduct interviews, and on-board new employeesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelors degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of construction contracts and solicitation process, building codes, and safety regulationsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budgetDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
3+ years of Construction Manager (CM) experience in commercial or public constructionCSI Construction Specification Technician certificationProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationProficiency in Autodesk Construction CloudExperience training or leading Construction ManagersSKILLS & COMPETENCIES :
Strategic planning and problem-solving abilitiesStrong financial acumen and experience in budget managementAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholdersExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityABILITY TO WORK REMOTE :
Partially remote. The work associated with this role is expected to be initially remote, though is expected to grow to a minimum of 50% on-premise support in the DCMA within the next year. This role will also require approximately 25% travel for quarterly on-site support to our customers and local support to our CMas in the field.
