Certified Clinical Medical Asstistant

Position Summary

Our Certified Clinical Medical Assistants play a critical role in supporting patient care by assisting providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures. This position ensures a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment while contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties listed below represent the essential functions of the position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed :

• Prepares examination and treatment rooms for patient visits; ensures proper placement of equipment and instruments.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments in accordance with safety and infection control standards.
• Collects specimens, including blood draws (phlebotomy), and administers specified medications and immunizations under physician supervision.
• Manages inventory of medical supplies and materials; orders as needed.
• Cleans, stocks, and maintains exam rooms, procedure rooms, and other assigned clinical areas.
• Follows procedures for obtaining physician approval for medication refills and documents accordingly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Assists the physician or advanced practice provider proactively, ensuring efficient clinical support.
• Attends and completes required in-service training sessions and staff meetings.
• Participates in Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) programs focused on quality and risk management.
• Maintains compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to : HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, CMS, JCAHO, NCQA-PCMH, BPHC / HRSA
