The well‑known retail client is seeking a Visual Merchandising Designer. This is a 40‑hour per week, ongoing freelance assignment that requires going onsite in NYC two times a week.
Responsibilities
Design 3D elevated builds that support retail locations, including, but not limited to window concepts, elevated fixtures, vinyl applications, experiential builds and more.
Collaborate and work quickly, time‑managing multiple design projects.
Build 3D structures to pass along to an agency to fabricate and bring to life.
Help ideate around big brands to conceive concepts for elevated retail.
Qualifications
4+ years of design experience, ideally in retail.
Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Expert skills in SketchUp and a strong background in concepting and designing 3D elevated builds.
Any rendering software knowledge is a bonus.
Experience with big‑box retailers.
Must be creative but also take direction well.
Able to take on a very high‑volume of work.
Portfolio of actual work designed by the candidate (not agency‑created) is a must.
