Summary :

We are seeking a high-level CockroachDB DBA / Architect for an immediate, long-term contract role.

The position requires expertise in CockroachDB, specifically its implementation within Kubernetes on ideal candidate will guide architecture, assess and tune performance, and make recommendations for improvement. This is a hybrid role, requiring both architectural knowledge and hands-on DBA skills like performance tuning and troubleshooting. The role can be remote, with a preference for candidates in the US for quicker placement, but Latam candidates are also being considered.

Key Responsibilities :

• Guide on the best CockroachDB architecture for their implementation.
• Assess the current state of CockroachDB performance.
• Perform performance tuning and suggest methods to fix performance issues.
• Make application architecture recommendations.
• Model improvements to enhance performance.
• Be hands-on with SQL and troubleshooting, checking clusters and indexes.
