Overview

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is a rapidly growing educational service company that provides educational, operational, and technological support services to the post-secondary education sector. Formerly part of Grand Canyon University (GCU), GCE still works closely with GCU to benefit thousands of students, families, and the local inner-city community. We put people first, drive innovation, and do good in the community that we live and work in. This is a work-from-home role overseeing the Phoenix, AZ territory with occasional travel.

Starting salary is $58,656 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan that allows you to increase your earning potential upon the completion of each year-long recruitment cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Has a servant's heart. Host and implement event / activity plans for your territory to build awareness of our academic programs and campus community and drive inquiry generation. Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families via in-person, phone, email, text, or Zoom while championing the GCE mission and Grand Canyon University student success.
  • Hustle. Connect with community college students, faculty, and staff in local community colleges; engage all major stakeholders in your territory; maintain a full schedule that includes fairs, school visits, presentations, community / campus events, and campus visits.
  • Bleeds purple. Be the face of Grand Canyon University in your territory and promote our transformation as part of the team.
  • Is purposeful. Work-from-home role with ambitious targets; use independent, critical thinking to guide prospective GCU campus students and families through the admissions process toward a successful campus experience.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree. No delinquency or default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect you are current on payments.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills; ability to wear many hats, manage competing priorities, and travel as needed.
  • Clear communication and engaging presentation skills; ability to explain information clearly in person, in writing, and on the phone; strong listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed; willingness to take ownership and go beyond expectations.
  • High emotional intelligence; ability to coach diverse students and families and to develop relationships with community colleges and their staff.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, flexible schedule, and willingness to travel; clean driving record; some evening / weekend availability. For those residing outside Phoenix, travel to Phoenix 1–3 times per month.
  • Computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to use digital tools in a remote workforce.
